Tracking conversions in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) lets you understand people’s journey from the moment they land on your website to the point where they convert. It allows you to track user behavior and identify which marketing channels, campaigns, and pages are driving conversions. With GA4, you can set up conversion tracking for a range of goals, such as product purchases, form submissions, button clicks, and other valuable user actions on your website.
In GA4, conversion tracking is based on events, so you will need to ensure the event is tracked for the conversion action before you can configure it as a conversion. You can then begin to find meaningful insights about your audience and make data-driven decisions to optimize your website and marketing campaigns. For example, if you find that a particular page is not converting well, you can use the insights to identify potential conversion bottlenecks and make changes to improve the user experience.

What is GA4? – Your Beginner’s Overview of Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) will soon replace Universal Analytics (UA), so now is the time to make the switch if you haven’t done so already.
Google Analytics is a tool that helps you track your digital marketing performance. Its features allow you to view how your audience found your website, what they do while visiting your site, and more.
The old version of Analytics—Universal Analytics—is being retired by Google on July 1, 2023. Its replacement is GA4, which is currently available for use. GA4 has the same purpose as UA: to help marketers and businesses understand the impact of their marketing efforts on their audiences. Unlike UA, however, GA4 makes more efforts to protect user privacy.
GA4 is better prepared for a cookieless internet and does not store IP addresses.
This video explains more about how GA4 works, and shares details on how to make the switch from UA. Learn Google Analytics 4 basics by watching this video, and checking out the content on our website! (linked below)
